Bale Unsure Of Terminator's Future

It's beginning to look like Skynet may not be the only one's in the business of terminating. Since the less-than-stellar response to Terminator: Salvation, there has been no talk about a Terminator 5. Before the film hit the screen, McG and screenwriters Michael Ferris and John Brancato were both talking up the idea of a new trilogy, stating that they already had a vision of where it could go. Well, now it's looking like we may never see that vision. When asked recently about a fifth Terminator at a press conference, Christian Bale stated:

"We've had no talks about it or discussions about it."
Also, apparently Bale is not contractually bound to any sequels as this response to the question of his participation in a future sequel eludes:
"It all purely depends upon script."
I guess all we can do is wait to see if we'll get another sequel that will show us what the epilogue of Terminator: Salvation promised: Connor continuing to lead the resistance in other parts of the world after destroying Skynet's San Francisco headquarters. (more)
