The website Making Of has posted a seven minute video interview with Harold Ramis about Ghostbusters 3 and what he would want the film to turn out like. Ramis swears that his counterparts and himself are absolutely not in it for the money and that most Ghostbuster fans could live without a third movie.
"You could reap the reward, we could do anything, and we'd all make some money probably. But no one wants to do that. We don't need the work, we don't need to do it. The public, if they only had two Ghostbusters, we'd all be fine. But if we're gonna do it, it's impossible to say we want to be better than the first one, but who knows?"Ramis is presently working with his original Ghostbusters partners and The Office writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitksy. The Office writers definitely put some people's minds at ease I'm sure. I guess we'll see soon enough.
