Oscar Winners

Haven't received a report back from MGF's woman-about-town yet on how the Oscar Party went last night down at the Lakewood Theater. I'm sure it went well and everyone had a good time.  I spent the night watching the new episode of Caprica and the Hanna Montana: Miley Says Goodbye? DVD I just got from Disney. Man, I love Jackson.  I saw like 3 minutes of the ceremnony - strangely enough the part where Ben Stiller came out dressed up like a Na'vi and awarded Star Trek for best Makeup. I really didn't care. I never watch the Award shows. It looks like I didn't miss a whole lot. I may have seen the only semi-funny thing in the whole show in that 3 minutes. Surprisingly, Avatar didn't get Best Picture. Or maybe that isn't such a big surprise. Completely unsuspenseful, Avatar did win Best art direction, Best cinematography, and Best visual effects. Duh. Other genre-related films that won little gold statues were Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) for Best supporting actor, Up for Best animated feature film, Up for Best original score, Star Trek for Best Makeup, and The Hurt Locker won a bunch, too. You can see the whole list of winners after the jump.
