The Future is Here in New Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

Blade Runner is one of my absolute favorite films of all time. I love everything about it. The lighting, the acting, the visual effects, the sets, the look. Everything. I go into Blade Runner 2049 optimistic of what director Denis Villeneuve can do to follow up such a masterpiece, especially after seeing Arrival. The new trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is here and it looks to deliver exactly what I'm looking for. I'm very surprised that they've kept the same look of the cityscapes and not updated them. I love the inclusion of the giant Atari sign and the pyramid-like Tyrell Corporation buildings. After the jump, you can check out the new trailer and some more info on the movie.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

From executive producer Ridley Scott and director Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.

Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on October 6th, 2017.
