See "IT" if You Want to Because "IT's" Worth a Watch [DVD Review]

"IT" is not bad, but also not the greatest thing I've ever seen. It's the type of film that was definitely made to scare kids who sneak into R-rated horror films. Remember when you'd go to your friend's house for a sleepover and their "cool" parents would rent the latest horror movie. You'd be all excited about watching it and then wish you hadn't about halfway into it.

Just like "Stranger Things," "IT" takes place in the 1980s. "Stranger Things" makes you feel like you're firmly planted in that decade. "IT" gives you the "illusion" that you're watching someone's idea of what it was like in the late 1980s.

"IT" is rated R for violence/horror, bloody images, and for language. Most of the kids have really foul mouths. There's also a scene where the kids are all swimming in their underwear, including a young girl.

Although this new version has good atmosphere and such, "IT" is not really scary, just a bit creepy. Pennywise was cool and there were some great transformations and moments with him. The CGI was a bit dodgy at times, but nothing too bad.

"IT" is available on 4K, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.

 Rating: Between Good and Meh.
