The full Lost in Space trailer is up and I have to say it looks pretty impressive. The CGI and special effects seem top-notch. The cast appears to be putting forth a great effort and is diverse. Parker Posey as a female Dr. Smith is also an exciting change from the original show. Posey always does a great job of playing quirky characters and I'm sure she'll do a great job here. The thing I'm most excited about is the fact that even though it looks dark, it gives off the vibe that it is family-friendly. A sci-fi show I can sit down and watch with the whole family besides Star Wars? What a crazy idea! Check out the trailer below.
The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them. Lost in Space premieres April 13, 2018.
Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light-years from their original destination. Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith (Posey) is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game. And the roguish, but inadvertently charming Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) is a highly-skilled, blue-collar contractor, who had no intention of joining the colony, let alone crash landing on a lost planet.
