Everett's Brief Movie Review: The Wandering Earth

The Wandering Earth was insanely good. The script and story was very well realized onscreen. The concept wasn't entirely believable, but the writers tried to back it up as much as possible.

When the sun dies out, the people of Earth build giant thrusters to move the planet out of orbit and sail to a new star system. After 2,500 years, young people continue the fight for everyone's survival in The Wandering Earth.

The acting and performances in The Wandering Earth were top-notch. The entire cast was convincing in their roles. They were extremely heartfelt and human in their portrayals. It was presented in Chinese, so some of the sub-titles weren't perfect.

The special effects were excellent for the most part and topped what we get in American disaster and sci-fi films. However, there were some parts where it was like, "Okay, that's CGI." I don't know how to explain it, but it wasn't in a bad way, though. It was stunning visually.
