UPDATED! Tommy Thayer also confirmed a new Scooby-Doo and KISS teamup on his Twitter account. He posted a picture with the news as well. He stated, "Me, @genesimmons, the Mystery Machine, doing voiceovers for new KISS #ScoobyDoo."
Gene Simmons let "slip" today that there will be a new team-up between KISS and Scooby-Doo and his gang in the near future. There's no word as to what this new animated adventure will be about, but rest assured it will be full of adventure, excitement, humor, and ROCK AND ROLL!
The God of Thunder broke the news on his Twitter account, posted on November 17th.
"SCOOBY DOO - thanks to the writers and producers. Was proud to... join Paul, Tommy and Eric today in doing voiceovers for a new Scooby Doo."
In "Scooby-Doo and KISS! Rock and Roll Mystery," the Mystery Inc. Gang team up with the Hottest Band in the World for the second time. The supergroup first appeared in a Halloween episode of "What's New Scooby-Doo" in 2003. They come together again to investigate a series of strange hauntings at the all-things-KISS theme park, KISS World.
With help from the band, KISS and the Scooby Gang discover that the Crimson Witch has returned to summon The Destroyer from the alternate dimension of Kissteria! The evil duos ghastly plan is to destroy the earth! The Gang's cunning and KISS's power of rock must save the day.
No announcement as to whether it will be a full-length feature or a new "episode," which usually runs 22 minutes, has been made. With the success of the first installment, I'd be surprised if it isn't another 70 minute movie. Here's hoping they'll bring back the fifth "member" of KISS, the illustrious Chip McGhoo.
